SAPIENTIA

Sofia Sarvanaki known as Sapientia, born in Alexandroupolis, Greece in 2005, has cultivated her passion for music through years of dedicated study. The aspiring composer began her musical studies in Phaethon Conservatory at the age of eight, graduating with a degree in piano with professor Marina Lazareva, harmony, counterpoint, and fuga with professor Lucy Gasparian. Sofia has emerged as a versatile orchestrator and film composer based in Milan. Currently a student at Milan Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi, she learns under the guidance of Caterina Calderoni, honing her skills in crafting music for film and media.

Sofia has garnered experience in the short film industry in Greece, where she participated in various competitions showcasing her original works. Notably, her and the school team won first prize in the ERT school competition with the historical documentary short film, "Smyrna: The City of People'' in which her first musical work is presented. She is known also for participating in ''AXD-Film Festival'' in her region in Greece.

In addition to her musical talents, Sofia has a background in classical dance and creative writing, enriching her artistic expression and creativity.

Sapientia has garnered a reputation for her enchanting sentimental orchestral music that resonates deeply with listeners. Her compositions often feature exquisite instrumental solos, showcasing the unique talents of each musician while invoking a range of emotions. With a penchant for experimentation, she creates emotionally charged pieces. Each work is a journey, blending traditional orchestration with innovative elements that invite exploration and introspection. Sapientia's music is a testament to the power of art to express complex emotions and tell compelling stories.

In her artistic journey, she has adopted the signature "Sapientia" for her compositions, a name that resonates deeply with the essence of wisdom. The term "Sapientia," rooted in Latin, translates to "Sofia," symbolizing the profound knowledge and insight she pours into her work.
